Big Kid Bandstand is a 45 minute class for ages 2.5-6 years that continues to build on speech and language skills through music. Each child brings his or her own ukulele to play during class as we slowly introduce basic chords and strumming. This class helps children gain confidence, encourages teamwork with bandmates, focuses on musical terms, and has a deeper focus on speech and language development.

Big Kid Bandstand classes are made up of three sections:

• Instrument exploration with the ukulele and creative musical teaching materials focusing on basic musical terms and chords.

• Language and speech enrichment exercises through songs, story boards and musical book time.

• A fun ukulele jam session at the end of class!
